Grandma,
Wishing you a Happy Valentines Day! I sure miss you and all the fun we had going to the Cabana Club, playing board games or doing puzzles. I also remember using FaceTime so I could show you my new dance routines, talk about school and outfits that I put together.
I even got some Green Tea scented spray that smelled so good that you wore most of the time. I miss walking in seeing your smiling face when I walked through the door and waiting outside still we left and were waving goodbye till you couldn't see our car anymore and your tight hugs before I left, I wish when you were sick I came more and supported you just how you always supported me in everything I did.
I miss you so so so much and my heart has been smaller ever since you left and you all always have a special place in my heart and will always be remembered. Love you grandma!

You were my sunshine, you made the grey skies go away, it´s no longer warm since you been away. You were the heart that kept our family together. I always had a place where I felt loved, wanted and safe and that no longer exists without you. My heart is broken. I am struggling without your kindness, generosity and unwavering support & love. Thank you for caring for me, my children and my many dogs and for always making whoever entered our house feel welcome. I cherish a lifetime of memories and thankful for the time we worked at Intel together and having lunch with my "older friend" aka Mom. Watching Bonnie and I play soccer together. Driving me and waiting for me during every procedure/surgery. I am sorry we didn´t realize how sick you were. You fought like a champ and I am grateful we had the additional time I wish we all handled the situation better. I will make the most amazing lemonade in your memory with this Schmidt load of lemons that we didn´t want. I love you and miss you. - Jules
PS: your pup is in great hands living out his life with Bailey, Bonnie & Marty.

Mom, I wish I could tell you one more time how much I love you and how much I miss you. Today, as we commemorate your 65th wedding anniversary, we hold both joy and sorrow in our hearts. Your love story with Dad was one for the ages-always together, a beautiful tapestry woven with laughter, shared dreams, and countless cherished moments.

Though you are no longer with us, your spirit lives on in the love you two shared and that love will forever act as an inspiration to all of us. As we reflect on this milestone achievement, my wish for Dad is that he remembers the way your eyes sparkled when you danced together, the warmth of your smile when you looked at him, and the way you laughed at his silly jokes, or maybe just even at him. For Dad and the rest of the family, my wish is that we feel your presence in every ray of sun on our faces and every gentle breeze that passes by us.

Today, we celebrate not just the years you spent side by side, but the legacy of love you´ve left behind. May you find comfort in knowing that we will take care of Dad and make sure he has the support he needs to continue the great legacy you two have built through the years.

Happy 65th anniversary to both you and Dad. Rest in peace sweet angel, rest in peace.

Happy to see all the wonderful comments about my mother, Sharon. Besides being a great woman who raised three children and one husband she was the most gracious of hosts. It was of utmost concern that you were comfortable in her home. Documented here that our family and friends were always treated to a venerable smorgasbord of food and drink offerings. One refrigerator housed enough food for a block party!

As the oldest sibling I was fortunate enough to have mom to myself for a couple of years. So many great memories. I loved her dearly and she loved me more right back. A hug from mom was always worth a thousand I love you's.

A great sense of humor which I am sure I inherited. She once told me over the phone when I asked what dad was doing, "he is teaching the dog English, someone to talk to when I am at work".

While her sudden passing has been difficult for me, I take great comfort and pride knowing she touched so many people with her warmth, smile, and personality. I will continue to keep her legacy alive by adhering to all the life lessons she taught us by example to include loving and honoring my wife and keeping watch over my children even into adulthood.

We have been truly blessed, loved and should count ourselves fortunate to have my mother, Sharon, in our lives.

Rest in peace,
Scott

I have fond memories of my sister-in-law Sharon. She was a kind, good hearted person. She enjoyed visits from all family members. She entertained guests with her smart witty remarks. She will be remembered for delisous holiday dinners, and her love of flowers and pets. RIP until we meet again.

"With sympathy in the loss of your loved one. Life is a journey of sweetness and sorrow, of yesterday's memories and hopes for tomorrow, of pathways we choose and detours we face with patience and humor, courage, and grace, of joys that we've shared and of people we've met who have touched us in ways we will never forget."

As you go through this time of sadness, may you know in your heart how very much others care. I am so very sorry on the loss of Sharon.

Schmidt Family - it was a real shock to us that Sharon passed away and we are very sorry for your loss. Sharon was a wonderful person. She was very kind, always asking after my wife on account of her lung disease. She was generous: I always remember she gave me a ride to work more than twenty years ago. She kept a lovely garden, I loved to see her sit in her front yard and care for her beautiful rosemary. She will forever be missed.

I know there is no easy way to make your family have happy days as before, especially for Bill. I also know Bill is a strong man. I am sure he knows he has three wonderful children and he will never be alone. We are very lucky to have your family as our closest neighbor.

With condolences and best wishes -

The last few verses of Psalm 91 say "Because he loves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."

Sharon is now reaping the rewards of a life filled with love for God, family and friends. All of our memories of her are happy ones. She was always warm, funny and kind and she will be missed by all who knew her. To Bill, Scott, Bonnie and Julie, our love, thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our weekly family zoom calls just aren't the same without Aunt Sharon and AJ...such a deep profound family loss, yet I'm so grateful for the last four+ years of being able to catch up on a weekly basis. Aside from the general 'family catch-up' what I loved most about our weekly family calls is that it was such a wonderful opportunity for Aunt Sharon, (Uncle Bill popped in too :)) , AJ and my dad to see each other.
Growing up I always remember Aunt Sharon's (and family) summer trips to Chicago. I can't recall a trip when Aunt Sharon, AJ and my mom did not go to a gem show (otherwise known to us kids as expensive 'rock shopping'). Aunt Sharon was always so chill and quite humorous and I'm so blessed to be able to call her my aunt. You are so loved, deeply missed, and will forever hold a piece of my heart!! Love you Aunt Sharon!

Bill, Scott, Bonnie, Julie and family,
We are so sorry for this devastating loss in your family.
Sharon was the warmest, sweetest and most welcoming lady. We were always greeted with a big smile and hug! She also had the best humor and we do have some fun memories of our late night casino trips too
We were blessed to be there for many Easter celebrations and had the privilege of enjoying her large holiday feasts.
We were definitely blessed having had Sharon in our lives.
She will be deeply missed. Praying for the family and all those who knew and loved her.

My condolences to the Schmidt family. Mrs Schmidt was a second mom to many of us who played soccer with Scott back in high school. We would often go to their home and have lunch and she would offer all of us no less than 10 drink options and with a wonderful smile. She cared for all of us a lot, and always asked about our families and how they were doing, she was beyond sweet. I know she will be very missed by family and so many others.

Sharon and I worked together at Intel. I was there for 7 years, but know Sharon was there much longer. I was her manager on my last assignment there and found her to be a capable, diligent worker who always got the highest performance ratings each year and they were well deserved. After she retired, we used to meet for lunch several times a year in Los Gatos as I live in Santa Cruz. That´s when we would catch up on family happenings.

Although Sharon and I haven´t met for several years as I had some medical issues, I always fondly remembered her.

My thoughts are with the Schmidt family during this difficult time.

I realize that I forgot to mention one of my favorite memories of Grandma Sharon. I´ll never forget the moment at my wedding when she and Grandpa Bill were the last couple on the dance floor, as the couple married the longest. Watching them have fun, holding each other and sharing those loving looks was one of the best examples of love I´ve ever seen. It's a memory that will always stay with me.

My grandmother Sharon was a truly sweet and welcoming person, always opening her arms to everyone around her. She had a special gift for hosting the best holidays, making each one feel warm and inviting. Despite the time that has passed since I last spoke to her, the memories of her kindness and the sense of belonging she created will always stay with me. Grandma Sharon's presence in my life was a blessing, and she will be deeply missed.

Aunt Sharon was like a second mother to me when I lived in California. She was always so loving and kind to everyone and I always felt that I had a place to go anytime and especially the holidays. She always went out of her way to make everyone feel so welcome and put on a great meal. My most memorable experience was the year we had 3 celebrations at the house in the same week and I ended up eating half the sheet cake myself over a 3 day period. They all never let me forget that. Aunt Sharon was always very whitty and comical as well and we always had a good laugh at some of her humor. I know that she is now in heaven receiving her rewards for all of her loving kindness she showed to her family and others during her long life. She is already missed and will be missed until we arrive there as well.

Mom - Nothing that is loved is ever lost and you were very much loved. So, I won´t consider you as gone, only that you are on a long journey, where I will miss you profoundly, but know that I will see you again. Life is a gift from God. Our time on earth is only a small part of a much larger, spiritual journey. I will think of you as resting from this leg of that journey, now free from illness and pain; where you are happy and healthy and endlessly chatting away with all your family members in Heaven, catching them up on each of us, as you continue your journey. Your love for us was born out of a deep devotion, you were endlessly supportive and unselfish, patient and forgiving, kind and sweet, delivering your messages always cheerful, with a warm smile, and endless hugs. You live on in the hearts of all who have been touched by you and leave us a lifetime of memories, be it a bright smile or laugh, or a happy warm feeling when you cross our minds. Your light still shines brightly in our lives, guiding us with a love that we will always know in our hearts, giving us the hope and the courage to continue in our lives and make you extremely proud, so that when we do see you again, we are welcomed with that bright smile and a generous "Mom" hug.

Rest in Peace Mom. We miss you! Please don't worry about Dad. We will take care of him as you did for 65 years. The four of us celebrated your birthday together and we had that "delightful" strawberry cake you love so much. Love you.

Sharon and I were the grandmas... Grandma Sharon and Grandma Emma. And that is how we addressed each other.
I have good memories of Sharon during the times we were with the grandkids.
Every Easter, Sharon hosted a family brunch. We loved watching the kids hunt for eggs in her beautiful and meticulous yard.. there were flowers everywhere. It was obvious she loved gardening.
After the kids had their Easter Egg hunt, we went in and enjoyed an array of bacon, egg dishes, crepes, breakfast pastries, etc. SO delicious.
I don´t know how she did it, but everything was prepared before the egg hunt. She must have been up for hours prepping, and yet, she didn´t miss a minute of the fun time outdoors.
Happy Heavenly Birthday, Sharon, on August 17th. You will be missed. Rest in Peace.

Today is your 84th birthday - Happy Birthday Sharon!
Sharon has been a part of my life for a wonderful 31 years and I will always cherish the times we have spent together! I admired her witty sense of humor and enjoyed her responding words of excitement: (SUPER, DELIGHTFUL, and others but we all know her for - ANYHOO...). We enjoyed and loved spending the holidays and all the get togethers. When it came to hosting, she really did outdo herself with such huge feasts! I really did love all her dishes served, especially her Cauliflower Salad. Oh my goodness, this was the best salad around and I really think she made it just for me!
Sharon had so much kindness, love and compassionate for others and we are going to miss her so much! Rest in Peace Sharon, you are in a beautiful place with the Lord and surrounded by so many of our loved ones.

Dear Schmidt Family, Although I've known Scott and Karen for many years, I never really knew Sharon and Bill until recently. I am so grateful to have spent the last few months with them once a week. Her and Bill warmly welcomed me, and I felt at home with them. Their home, and specifically Sharon, reminded me of my own mother (rest in peace). I only wish I could've had more time to know Sharon better. I pray for the family and for Sharon's soul to rest in peace and for the love and memories you have for/with her to be eternal. God be with all of you during this difficult time. Love, Elaine

I will always cherish Grandma Sharon´s Thanksgiving and Christmas feasts. The energy in the kitchen. The dining decor. The mushroom gravy. The giant turkey leg she always saved me. The way she always made sure everybody had a drink. And the laughs every time Scott had to say "Mom sit down! Eat!". She was the MOST generous and loving. I´m blessed to be loved by her. I´m blessed she is looking down on us now. I´ll make you proud Grandma, can´t wait to see you in Heaven

My first memory of Sharon is running around the dance floor like an idiot at her wedding, when I was 5. Can't believe they allowed kids at the reception. I think she baby-sat for me a few times. I remember playing with Scott at their home in Bridgeview, and running around outside with Rommel. Bill let me fire his rifle once. In the 90s, I used to go to a computer conference whenever it was in San Francisco. Once or twice, I took the train to San Jose and stayed up till the wee hours chatting with Sharon at the kitchen table. On separate occasions, Sharon and Bill took me into San Francisco, and we drove around looking for locations from the movie VERTIGO. She was a sweetie, and she will be missed.

Her ability to plan, construct, and deliver a multi course holiday feast, and it was of utmost importance that we all would sit down with thankfulness in our thoughts. We know the amount of work that goes into a complex meal to appeal to all, and she "cherished all of it, as it was a true labor of love". I will forever be grateful as she welcomed us Montry´s with open arms and warming smiles. She always loved joking with us, as she had a well rounded sense of humor, sprinkled with a dose of reality, and a ray of hope for all of us to be peace filled. She will be missed beyond belief.
