Sharon Smiley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 14, 2009.
Renee Smiley lost her fight against cancer on October 14, 2009. She died peacefully in her home, surrounded by family and friends. Renee was born September 1, 1976 in Escondido, Calif. At the age of two, she moved with her family to Washington. After settling in Eatonville, she attended EES, EMS and graduated from Eatonville High School in 1994. She went to work for Les Schwab Tire Center in February of 1997, making her mark by becoming the first woman in the company's history to be promoted to Assistant Manager. Renee, a tomboy at heart, loved playing softball, riding quads, dirt bikes, going dancing and being out in the sunshine. But her greatest pride and joy was her son Nicholas. Renee always had a smile for everyone, living up to her last name. She was a bright, hard working, energetic, funny, feisty, dynamic young woman with a zest for life that was contagious. She will truly be missed by all of those whose lives she touched. However, Renee will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who was blessed enough to have known her. She is survived by the loves of her life, husband Jason, son Nicholas, mother Sharon Smiley, who was and is so proud of her, brothers Josh and Jarrid, sisters Tia and Leah, nephew Skyler, nieces Emily and Alexis-Renee, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held Sunday October 25, 2 p.m. at Fir Lane Funeral Home, 924 176th St. E., Spanaway, WA. At Renee's request, she would prefer that everyone wear bright colors in celebration of her life. The Memorial gathering will follow at Frontier Park in Graham, 14422 Meridian E., Puyallup. In lieu of flowers, condolences may be sent to P.O. Box 944, Eatonville, WA 98328
