It is with loving memories and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon Chieko Takata, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, on February 6, 2025, in Fremont, CA. Born on December 19, 1962, in Alameda, CA, Sharon was known for her kind heart, unwavering loyalty, and selfless nature.

Sharon earned her Associate of Arts degree from Ohlone College and built a career as a successful executive administrator. She was a dedicated professional, admired by colleagues for her diligence and steadfast work ethic, building meaningful connections throughout her career.

She is survived by her father, Ralph Takata; siblings, Marty (Elbert) Bartlett, Allison Takata-Edmiston, Sterling (Sheryl) Takata, Jon (Celocia) Takata, and Marie (Douglas) Der; along with many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and a grand-nephew. She was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Takata, and her niece, Kristy Bartlett.

An 'aloha style' celebration of life to honor and remember Sharon will be held on Saturday, April 12, at 11:00 AM at the Pleasanton Senior Center, located at 5353 Sunol Blvd, Pleasanton. Embrace the aloha spirit with bright, cheerful colors that Sharon loved.
