Sharon Zima

Green Bay - Sharon Marie Zima, 75, of Green Bay, died Wednesday, January 3, 2018, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. She was born June 2, 1942 in Oconto Falls, WI, daughter of the late Lewis N. and Bertha M. (Mielke) Rebitski.

She was a graduate of Oconto Falls High School, Class of 1960. Sharon worked for a brief time for Osco Drug and Dr. Mattern before becoming a full time stay-at-home mom. On January 19, 1963, Sharon married James "Jim" Zima at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Sharon loved to spend her time doing crafts, especially knitting and bringing her work to craft shows. She enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, fishing, and spending winters in Florida.

Sharon is survived by her husband, James "Jim" Zima, Green Bay; her children and their spouses, Joseph "Jay" Zima and Tricia Milis, Krakow, Timothy and Kristin Zima, Shorewood, Minnesota; Debra Marie (Zima) and Layth Hussain, Carmel, Indiana; her grandchildren, J.J. Zima, Alaska, Graham and Sydney Zima, Minnesota; Caleb and Audrey Hussain, Indiana; Bryson Milis, Krakow; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother and sister-in-law, Marshall and Karen Rebitski; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rose and Joe Zima.

Family and friends may call at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew St., from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, at the church, with the Rev. Robert Kabat officiating. Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason Street, is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Sharon's name.

Sharon's family extends a sincere word of thanks to the caring staffs of Angels on Arcadian, AsceraCare Hospice, ADRC, and Curative Connections for all the care given to Sharon and her family.
