Shawn William "Dinger" DINGMAN

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Shawn on April 23, 2022, at the age of 51. He is survived by his loving partner Emily Latchford, son Dallas, daughter Brook, mother Wanda (Perry) Dewey, father Bill (Carol), his brother Jason (Lisa) and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Shawn was a 20-year veteran of the Northumberland County Roads Department. He always made sure he was available to be called during winter weather or for any other emergency to keep the roads safe for others. Shawn loved to drive anything that was big and loud and made sure that he had all the "disco" lights flashing. Shawn was an avid sports fan. Cheering for the Toronto Blue Jays, Philadelphia Flyers, and the Chicago Bears. He loved to have his family and friends gather at our home, always welcoming everyone in. Kids of all ages loved to come see "Dinger". He always made sure to give them a ride or teach them to drive his four wheelers and snowmobiles. We are going to miss burnouts in the garage, chainsaw smoke in the house, beers on Friday nights, dinner boots on the dance floor and the very "colourful" way he would explain things to you. The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words of love and support, those that have brought food, sent flowers, stopped to visit, and have shared a story. A celebration of life will be held at the Alnwick Civic Centre in Roseneath on May 14 starting at 1:00 p.m. If desired, memorial donations to the Warkworth Minor Hockey Association would be appreciated by the family in memory of Shawn.
