Shawn James Rooney, born on November 24th, 1964, in Ramapo, New York, peacefully passed away on March 14, 2024. He was a resident of Stony Point, New York. Shawn was preceded in death by his parents, James and Kathleen, and his brothers, John, James, and Michael. He lived most of his life in Rockland County, New York, and formerly worked as a dedicated Machine Operator for Victor P. Zugibe Inc. and various excavating businesses in the area.

Shawn is survived by his son, Sean (Gabriela) of Wake Forest, NC; brothers Paul (Arlene) of Troutman, NC, and Mark of Stony Point, NY; sister Kathleen (Kevin) of Putnam Valley, NY; three grandsons, and a number of nieces and nephews. Shawn's memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

I met Shawn doing physical therapy with him. Shawn was such a kind man. He had a great sense of humor and was a great story teller. I will miss him. Sending my condolences to all of his family and friends.

Shawn was my X brother in law. He loved my kids & they loved their Uncle Shawn!!!!!! He was a funny & sweet person. He will surely be missed!!!!!
