Shea Maurer Obituary
Shea is survived by her mother DeAnna Testasecca of Fort Myers and her father Charles (and Teri) Maurer of Naples. She was born on December 5, 2001 and attended fifth grade at the Community School of Naples. Along with her parents, Shea is survived by her beloved Grammy and Gramps, Jim and Beverly Testasecca of Fort Myers, her Grandpa Charlie and Nancy Maurer of Massachusetts, her big brothers Michael (Patty) Maurer, Daniel (Kimberly) Maurer, Charles (Squeeze) Maurer and Kyle Waters; her big sisters Kye Maurer, Alexandra and Morgan Waters; and her little sister Meadow Testasecca. Shea leaves behind her nieces Riley, Emerson, Noelle and Caroline and her nephew Jack to live their lives as full as she did.
From the moment she was born, Shea was surrounded with love. She cherished her family, friends, singing and dancing and being a big sister to Meadow. Shea was a loyal Red Sox fan and also a member of Girl Scout Troop 801 and Girls in Action.
A wake will be held 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday November 29, 2012 at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 30, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave. N., Naples, FL.

Words cannot express the sadness I felt when I found out about Shea. I had Shea in my preschool class at Wonder Years. She was a beautiful child (inside and out). Shea always had a smile and was eager to learn. Her eyes lit up when she came into the classroom. May God bless your little angel. My heart goes out to you all.

When I met Shea, one of the first things she shared with me was, "I love my family just the way it is." Nearly every day after, I witnessed her giving life to that statement, as she shared fond memories of times spent with each member of her family—always earnestly and often punctuated with smiles and laughs. The light of this wisdom burned brightly in Shea, and with our help, it will continue to reflect and propagate from Naples throughout the heavens and beyond.
