Sheila Ann Burgess (Phelps), aged 67, passed away on July 9, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. Born on December 4, 1956, in Athens, Texas, Sheila was cherished and loved by all.

Sheila was a wonderful mother and a selfless person, always prioritizing her family. She had a love for cooking, baking, shopping, working in the yard, and made every holiday special for her loved ones. She loved Elvis Presley and found joy in visiting Graceland and trips to the casinos. Above all else, her eight grandkids were her pride and joy.

Sheila is survived by her husband, Chuck Burgess; daughters, Cricket Van Cleave, Glena Ortiz, and Cristan Trojacek; and grandchildren, Macy Pallini, Cadence Van Cleave, Bobby Ortiz, Collen Ortiz, Kylie Ortiz, Caris Trojacek, Crew Trojacek, and Cage Trojacek. She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Nell Phelps; father, Preston Wood; father-in-law, Charles Burgess Senior; sisters, Wanda Gilliland and Jackie Carlile; brother, Jerry Wood; and niece and nephews, Tina Willingham, TJ Wood, and Logan Wortham.

A service to honor Sheila's life will be held at J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc., located at 408 North Dallas Street, Ennis, TX 75119, on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 10 AM. Her legacy of love and dedication will be remembered by all who knew her.
