Sheldan Elliott Nidle

Sheldan Elliott Nidle passed away 8/26/2025, peacefully, after a long illness.

Born in New York City on 11/11/1946, he lived with his parents, Harry and Thelma and his paternal grandparents in New York city until the age of five when the family moved to Buffalo, New York

A wholly unique individual, Sheldan possessed non-traditional, spiritual beliefs from an early age. He was a true original and kept to his belief systems for his entire life. He meditated twice daily from an early age and loved to talk about his spiritual beliefs. Even as a child, he told stories about earth's history and earth's future.

He loved baseball and he was especially fascinated by the statistics of baseball. He was a Brooklyn Dodgers fan and knew the stats for every player. Later in life, he was a Giants fan.

Sheldan graduated from the University of Buffalo and earned a masters degree in political science at Ohio State University. He went on to attend USC and just before earning his doctorate in southeast Asian political science he decided to give up on traditional academia and follow his own inner path.

He studied alternative energies and Nikola Tesla's life and experiments and corresponded and met with many interesting people.

Later on in life, he lived in the Bay Area and lived on Maui.

He was an author of many books on UFOs, first contact, and the galactic federation, mostly authored in the 90's and early 2000's.

Sheldan loved history. He loved teaching it. He loved talking about it endlessly. He was a fantastic storyteller. He loved playing with words, and sparring with people using words. He also had an almost photographic memory.

Sheldan's sense of humor, his silly smile, and his kindness and thoughtfulness will always be remembered by those who loved him.

He was a son, a husband, a life partner, a brother, a father, and a lover of animals. As a vegetarian since the age of 10 he honored all life.

He loved living on the earth and respected his time here, but he was not of this earth.

He gently flew away to other galaxies and will be missed by all who knew him.
