Suddenly On Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Shelli Karp Zelsman, beloved wife of 36 years to Zane. Amazing mother of Melissa, Jordana, and David. Dear sister and sister-in- law of Louise and Oded Klinghoffer, Mel and Anita Karp and sister-in-law of Ami and Shari Freiberg, and Sheldon Zelsman. Adored Buby Shelli to Ariella, and Alexander. Special daughter-in-law to Eadie Zelsman and fondly remember by Nicole. Shelli was a caring and dedicated dentist in Scarborough for over 30 years. She was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed. Her smile could light up a room. At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West (3 lights west of Dufferin) for service on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. Interment Pardes Chaim Cemetery. I am deeply saddened to hear the news of Dr. Karp's passing. She was my dentist for almost 30 years but was so much more than that to me. Everyone says that she was a light and I can agree with this statement tenfold. She was truly an amazing soul, so warm and gracious in every way. My sincerest condolences goes out to her family and all that work in her office. She will be missed but I am so grateful to have known her while she was with us. May she rest in peace always.

I just learned of Dr. Karp's passing.I'm shocked and saddened.
I'm 31 years old now. Dr. Karp has been our family dentist since I was a kid and she was in her old Markham location. She was so kind and warm and always welcoming. She also had amazing stories of travel and beautiful photos to show for it.
My deepest condolences to her family, including her daughter who works at her dental office, who is as sweet as Dr. Karp.
Thank you for everything Dr. Karp; you will be missed.

My thoughts are with the family and close friends. May we all remember to smile about the good times that we experienced with Dr. Karp.
Her light truly was warm and pure. I am 32 years old, and the only dentist I have ever known was Dr. Karp.
When I learned about Dr. Karp's transition today, it truly impacted me.
I still remember the optical illusion pictures she used to hang back in the 90s! I always looked forward to visiting the Dentist, not only for the obvious reasons, but to learn about the adventures of Dr. Karp! Stunning photos and such happy and exciting stories!
Your presence will be missed, Dr. Karp, and your influence forever remembered.
Your legacy lives on, and thank you for making a positive difference in not only my life, but my family's and those of the GTA community.

Dr Karp was my dentist in Brampton when I first came to Canada in 1981. She was a very caring person then and when I continued seeing her in scarborough. I offer my condolences to her family. Rejoice in the wonderful memories you have of her.

I am deeply saddened and shocked to learn that Dr Karp has passed on. She was my family dentist for over 34 years (until I moved to FL a yr ago). She was such a kind and wonderful human being who never forget to smile and ask how is everything .. this world has certainly lost an earthly Angel. My sincere condolences to her family.

Our Condolences to the family as our prayers go to you all. We recently heard about Dr.Shelli Karp's passing and we are very stunned and saddened. She has been my parents dentist, my family dentist and our kids dentist. I have known her for about 30 plus years as she was like extended Family to us. Dr. Shelli Karp always had a great smile, joyful personality and loved always talking to my kids and all is us. We are blessed to have known her as she will be dearly missed.

I was stunned when I took my daughter for her appt on Saturday, to read the sudden death of Dr. Shelli Karp. She has been my dentist for over 27 years and I totally trusted her. She would light up the room when she smiled. My sincere condolences to Dr Shelli Karp's children, husband and family. It is a great loss to all of us. May her sould rest in peace.

Shelli gave me my start at her dental office. I will always remember her warm smile and caring nature. She would give all the staff a holiday card and fill the entire inside of that card with the kindest words about you. Those cards were always a joy to receive and read because she really wanted you to feel special and appreciated. I will miss her.
