Sherrie Lynn Cole

Sherrie Lynn Cole, age 60, of Greensboro, North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Monday October 23, 2023. She was born on July 28, 1963, in Greensboro where she lived all of her life. Sherrie was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and great-aunt (Mimi).

In her free time, Sherrie enjoyed relaxing at the beach, going to the pool, attending concerts, and creating delicious meals for her loved ones. She cherished every moment spent with her family and friends, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever. She also found joy in volunteering at her church, Grace Community Church, where she dedicated her time to feeding the homeless, found solace, and spiritual fulfillment.

After attending Dudley High School, Sherrie had a successful career, working for several companies including Kay Chemical Co, Sherwin-Williams, and most recently for Show Pros at the Greensboro Coliseum. She was highly regarded by her colleagues and made a positive impact in her professional endeavors.

Sherrie will be deeply missed by her surviving daughter, Ashley Stephens of Thomasville, who meant the world to her. She is also survived by her nephew, Jamie Queen (Shelley), and great-nephew, Jaxen Queen of Greensboro. Sherrie was preceded in death by her father, William Ernest Cole, her mother, Louise Cardwell Cole, and her sister, Denise Cole Queen.

A memorial service to celebrate Sherrie's life will be held at a later date. Details about the service will be announced by the family.
