Sherry May Sheets, 83, of Mishawaka, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Golden Living Center, Mishawaka.

Sherry was born in Mishawaka on September 18, 1938 to the late Commodore and Margaret (Weinkauf) Becraft. She was a graduate of Mishawaka High School.

On April 18, 1959, Sherry married Edward J. Sheets. He preceded her in death in 2018 and her brothers, Franklin and Joseph Becraft also preceded her in death.

Sherry is survived by her three children, John (Ruth) of Minnesota, Steve of Ohio, and Tony (Robyn) of Ohio; seven grandchildren, Joshua (Allison), Jacob, Hannah, Matthew, Trevor, Leah and Mark; a sister, Kathleen Fozo; and a sister-in-law, Joyce (Russ) Overby.

Sherry was employed as a Teacher's Aide at Madison Elementary School. Before marriage she worked at Dodge Manufacturing. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka. Sherry was a long-time member of TOPS. She enjoyed baking Christmas cookies and going to the Blue Chip Casino. At one time Sherry and Ed enjoyed playing Euchre in a card club.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:30 pm on Thursday, June 16, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 225 S. Mill Street, Mishawaka. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Mishawaka.

Visitation will be from 12:30 pm to 2:15 pm on Thursday at Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka.

Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
