Sherry Robbins Shelley passed away on February 14, 2024, in Los Angeles, California. It was her favorite holiday,Valentine's Day.

She was born Shirley Mae Robbins on July 18, 1927, in Burlington, Iowa. She attended Stephen's College in Missouri and thereafter modeled for several agencies including John Powers Agency in New York. In Chicago she worked for the Patricia Stevens Agency and also was a coordinator and buyer for a boutique, Armand, Inc. American Airlines (1947-1955) hired her as a special assignment stewardess and she flew with Presidents Eisenhower and Nixon. Later Sherry became a public relations emissary who traveled to college campuses to educate women interested in this kind of a career. She married her sweetheart, Robert Eugene Shelley, at the Little Church Around the Corner in New York City October 17, 1955. They traveled the world together with their own airline company, Flight Components,Inc. Bob and Sherry's only child, Kimberly was born in 1959. Bob passed away in 1991 after 35 years of marriage and Kimberly also passed away at age 39. Sherry is survived by her brother, Don Robbins and sister-in-law Julie, of Naples, Florida and her niece Robin and husband Kevin Blaemire of Nokesville, Virginia along with their children and grandchildren.

During Sherry's life she was very active in philanthropy, including Footlighters, Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, ARCS and the National Arts Association.
Sherry will be remembered for her style and elegance and kind gentle spirit. She touched the lives of many with her spirituality, warmth and generosity, always sending poems and special saying to all. Sherry's presence will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Rest in peace, dear friend.
