Shirley was born to Frank and Alberta Grace Cabbage, in Kalispell, Mont.
Shirley has two brothers Frank Arnold Cabbage, of Kalispell, and Donnel Edgar Gleed (deceased), of Great Falls, Mont.; and two sisters Cecelia Ruth Butler (deceased), of Alamogordo; and Helen Virginia Sorensen "Ginni," of Alamogordo.
Shirley served in the U.S. Air Force at Waco, Texas. She was a secretary of schools in Page, Ariz.; and with the Civil Service at Holloman Air Force Base. She also was a secretary for the federal government at Edwards AFB, in California, and Williams AFB, in Arizona. She retired in Queens Valley, Ariz.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 39 years, Terry Lee, of Queen Valley, and the father of her children, Joseph L. Lewandowski, of Alamogordo; her brother Frank Arnold Cabbage (Mary), of Kalispell; sister Helen Virginia (Cabbage) Sorensen (Don), of Alamogordo. She is survived by her faithful companion, Laila. She is also survived by six children Joseph R. Lewandowski (Debra), of Alamogordo; Melanie G. Martinez (Ernie), of Alamogordo; Teresa Taylor, of Springfield, Mo.; Mark A. Lewandowski, of Lancaster, Calif.; Russ Taylor (Joan), of Cedar City, Utah; and Theresa L. Lewandowski (Linda), of Rosemond, Calif.
She had 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
