Shirley Faye Goff, of Albany, GA., died Friday, April 14, 2023 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 17, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Cargle and Rev. Charlie Brown will officiate. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Born in Worth County, GA., Mrs. Goff moved to Albany in 1973 from Rapid City, South Dakota. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains and other parts of the country with her husband. Mrs. Goff cared for children and worked at Byne Memorial Baptist Child Development Center. Shirley was an excellent cook and was known for her famous French Silk pie, a recipe that has been in the family for generations. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds, but most of all was traveling around watching her grandchildren play various sports. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jewel and Maggie Benson, her brothers, Floyd Benson, Ben Benson, Troy Benson, Jimmy Benson and Marion Benson. Mrs. Goff was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church and attended the Open Door Sunday school class.

Survivors include her faithful husband, Johnny Goff, her sons, Robert Goff (Lorie) and Eddie Goff (Crystal), her grandchildren, Tyler Goff (Branson), Rachel Goff, Logan Goff, Jeremy Goff, Morgan Goff, Mandi Goff, Colby Usry (Shanna), Katie Sumner (Jamie) and Kendall Cruz (Slater), her great grandchildren, Oaklynn, Lakyn, Azreal, Carson, Colt, Joanna, Sawyer and Kenlee, her sisters, Ruth Pike and Christine Cooper and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Mathews Funeral Home.

Those desiring may make donations in memory of Mrs. Shirley to PruittHealth Hospice, 708 16th Ave E, Cordele, GA 31015.
