Shirley Blaylock "Mama Shirley" Gregory

Ms. Shirley Blaylock Gregory “Mama Shirley”, 70, of Dalton, departed this life peacefully, October 15, 2008 at Morningside of Dalton.Shirley was born November 9, 1937 the daughter of the late, Berlin Simpson Blaylock and Evar Clark Blaylock and was preceded in death by her husband, Bradley E. Gregory; brothers, Wallace C. Blaylock, James V. Blaylock, and Max L. Blaylock. Shirley was a 1955 graduate of Dalton High School and was employed with the Holiday Inn of Dalton for many years.She is survived by her two very loving daughters, Barbara Hennon and Gina Tucker both of Dalton; sons and their spouses, Clark and Linda Gregory of Jefferson, Ga.; Vann and Jenifer Gregory of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; Patrick and Vickey Gregory and Timothy Gregory all of Dalton; grandchildren, Blake and Rachel Hennon, Hannah Tucker, Keith Gregory, Justin Gregory, Andrew Gregory, Steven Gregory, Kelsey Gregory, Cole Gregory, Seth Gregory, Grace Gregory; great-grandchildren, Anna Gregory, Emma Gregory and Abbey Gregory; loving sister and brother-in-law, Nan and Harold Jones of Newnan, Ga.; several nieces and nephews; special and dearest friend, Paula Dilbeck and all her co-residents at Morningside of Dalton. Shirley was absolutely loved by all who knew her and she had great love for them.Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Cannon and the Rev.
