GREKIN, Shirley (nee Bloom) On Friday, May 7, 2010. Beloved wife of Carl. Devoted mother of Phyllis, Rhena (Philip), Allen (Diana), and Brian. Cherished Bubbie of Geoffrey, Gregory, Jennifer, Andrew, Lexi, and Julien. Dearest sister of Sybil (the late Eddie), Allan, Martin (Julie), the late Gerald (Ethel). Sister-in-law of Ruth (Aaron). Good friend of Francoise. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the Jewish General Hospital. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W. on Monday, May 10 at 12:00 p.m. Burial at the Beit Abraham Family Estates, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva Monday evening at her home. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Jewish General Hospital Foundation. 514-340-8251.

Dear Carl and Family,
Shirley was an integral part of my life growing up. She and the family are so much in my memories of my youth. I am also much thankful for her kindnesses to my mother . She will be missed by everyone.I am sorry that circumstance and distance prevent me from coming to Montreal to mourn with you . All my love.
