Shirley Hurst Obituary
Shirley had three children: LouAnne Workman, Susan Jo Hurst, and Joseph Vann Hurst, and later became the proud grandmother of five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A graduate of Helix High School in 1957, Shirley pursued her passion for understanding and supporting others by earning a bachelor's degree in psychology from San Diego State University in 1984. She dedicated her career to counseling, using her compassion and insight to positively impact countless lives. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and the lives she touched.

Rest well Aunt Shirley. You always had a big smile and a quick laugh. You were a hard working single mom that I admired. It took a lot to get that degree later in life and pursue a new career. Always loved your special sugar cookies - so soft and chewy, just perfect. With Love, Deb
