Shirley's spirit for fun and style CAN never die as long as one dared the devil... :)

I have just learned of Aunt Shirley's passing, most memorable in my life for her warmth, compassion and zest for every aspect of life! She lived fully and was generous to all in immeasurable ways. With God's richest Blessings and Eternal Love to my Godmother, always and forever. Amen.

Back in the days when I was in Public Relations, Shirley was one of my favorite people in the field. She had a twinkle in her eye, a ready smile, an ability to laugh and stay cool, even with difficult clients, and she wore a lapel pin that said, "Think Snow!" I remember seeing her X-country ski down the streets of Center City during a heavy snowfall, looking as delighted as a small child.

Shirley and Joe were enthusiastic supporters of The Orpheus Club. They attended many concerts and parties. We will miss them.

I think my most memorable memory of Aunt Shirley was watching her and Uncle Joe play this phenomenal instrument at one of her great-niece's (Megan) wedding. She's with the love of her life now and is probably dancing and singing. I will miss this unique and lovely woman.

Hard to find words for someone who loved words so much. She touched all of us in so many ways. I'm just putting my electronic thoughts out there. She and Joe traveled the world, went to as many plays and concerts as they could squeeze in their calendar, gave to their communities and church. Her gift of love was beyond words.
