I met Shirly and Barbara years ago during my "play" in Lassie League. Very seldom do you come across someone who touches your life the way Shirley did mine. She was an excellent coach, mentor, and had a gift she continued sharing throughout her years. She will be missed by many. I have faith that she is no longer in pain. My prayers go out to her family, specifically Barbara. Losing a twin can be so difficult.

Shirley, you have always looked after and taken care of family, friends, and animals. We never saw or heard you ask for anything in return. Your suffering is over now, and may your Soul rest in peace. Our love always.

Barbara and family,
I was so sad to hear of Shirley's passing. I will always remember the great times that we had on our visits to Fresno & the family reunions. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

Shirley, I will miss the late night phone calls while you fed the dogs. You were a great friend. You were a dedicated representative from Sequoia to the Fresno Teachers Association. You worked tirelessly for the issues and concerns that were dear to your heart. You worked hard to make P.E. fun and educational not to mention how you and Jennifer taught kids how to eat healthy. The River Dance performance was exciting and you enjoyed the drums. I know you are watching over all the lost animals. You were a uniquely wonderful person whose enthusiasm will be missed. Our hearts are broken but we have many fond memories. We were blessed to know you my good friend. Linda,Wayne and Sean

Shirley - I will miss your laugh and your support. I know you are flying with the angels and you are without pain. May your soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, rest in peace. Your friend,

I worked with Shirley during my beginning years in Fresno Unified. She was the most welcoming individual I encountered on that school campus. She was a genuine person and her students responded to her internal warmth. I recall that after I had been away from our mutual campus for some years, I ran into her at the downtown office. Again, there she was after several years, remembering me by first name, and making me feel welcomed once again. I will miss you.
