Shirley Reaume Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 1, 2007.
REAUME, Shirley May nee Tidd Shirley passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on 24 November 2007 at the age of 74 years. She was the beloved wife of Wayne Reaume for over 49 years and the loving and proud mother of Wayne Jr. and Trudi. Shirley and Wayne met while both were on Royal Canadian Navy New Entry Training in 1954 at Cornwallis, NS. They married in 1958 and were fond shipmates throughout their voyage of life. Their life took them to many locations across Canada and Europe. Throughout it all Shirley gave her full love and support, raised her children and maintained warm and loving homes that will always be remembered as happy and comfortable havens for her family and their friends. Her family and all who knew her will profoundly miss her loving and giving nature, her wit and humour and her constant kindness. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations to the memory of Shirley be made to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre Foundation or a charity of choice. After a family Church service, a Memorial Reception to commemorate Shirley's life will be held from 1400 hrs to 1630 hrs on 04 December 2007 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Orleans Branch 632, at 800 Taylor Creek Drive, Orleans, Ontario, (K1C 1T1). All friends of Shirley, Wayne and their family are cordially invited to attend.

Wayne, Wayne Jr. and Trudi:

Surprised and saddened to hear that you have lost Shirley - she lived her life to the max, and was a complete character. They broke the mold after she was born. A lovely, warm, loving lady with a sense of humour second to none.

I am thinking of all of you at this time, and know that you will have many happy (and hilarious) memories.

Love,
Lori Viner
