Dear Shirley,

Your friendship, love, and sense of humor will always remain in my heart. Never an argument, or harsh words between us in all of our years as friends. One thing we always agreed on was your Ace, and my Lawrence.

What a wonderful family you have raised.

Much love, and till we meet again.

Dear Shipley family, especially ole friend, Johnny. I regret that I will be unable to pay my condolences in person, but wish to share my respects here.

I recall many memories of our families blending together. Beginning in Baltimore, when "Ace" and my father met downtown during the huckster days. The Kreseski started visiting the Shipleys in Carroll county, where Miss Shirley as we kids called her and my mom also became like sisters. Our families became fast friends, and eventually ended up Moving to Carroll County ourselves.

I remember how gracious the Shipleys were in hosting our families in their home while our house was being built in Carroll county at the time. It was like a scene from the movie "cheaper by the dozen" when one of us kids yelled "bus" and all the heard came running as to not be late for school. There were many wonderful times and memories we all shared together throughout the years that followed.

I remember Miss Shirley being like a second mother to me, always showing compassion for all of us kids. Her care and good manner were always a comfort, and it was always a pleasure to be in her company.

My thoughts, prayers and memories are with you all at this time.

Blessings sent.
