Shirley Vance

Shirley "Pat" Vance Shirley "Pat" Vance, 69, of Bristol, Tenn., went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at her residence. She was born October 9, 1943, a daughter of the late David Rufus and Lucille Trinkle Hawthorne. Mrs. Vance was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area and a member of Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, her sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Jim Wright. Survivors include her husband of nearly 50 years, Charles "Doug" Vance Sr.; daughters, Becky Arnold, and Carole Vance Gouge and husband, Chad; sons, Doug Vance Jr. and wife, Kelly, and David Vance and wife, Amanda; grandchildren, Kerri Arnold, Peyton Vance, and Eli Vance and sister, Judy Addison. A memorial service for Mrs. Vance will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013, at the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mike Eklund officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Haven of Rest Rescue Mission, 624 Anderson St., Bristol, TN 37620.
