I met Shirley at Louise Dean school. She was my dear friend and I will always keep her in my heart. She inspired me and went out of her way to cheer me up when I was down. My condolences go out to Chris and Matthew. She was one hell of a woman and she will be missed.

I worked with Shirley at the Alzheimer's Society of Calgary and will always remember her hard work and dedication. Also felt an extra connection being that we both had some Icelandic roots. Very sad to see that see is gone, so young.

I knew Shirley only briefly in the early 80's but in those few years she left a deep impression. I will always miss her wonderful spririt and abilty to entertain. Shirley always had a way of brightening up a room - I am delighted to have know her and sad that she left us too soon.
