Shirley Winford Ward, 67, of Westminster, went home to be in paradise with her heavenly Father, son Matthew, family members and friends, on January 20, 2021 from injuries, sustained from Birch Manor Nursing Home, Sykesville, MD. She worked for Long View Nursing Home and Black & Decker, Hampstead. She enjoyed the outdoors and being with friends, playing bingo, cards, traveling, drawing and painting artwork, gospel music, going to church, dining out and spending time with her brother Frederick with whom she resided, Rose Red and movies. She was the daughter of Joseph Percy Ward and Lula O. Ward of Finksburg. Predeceased by her son, Matthew David Martin of Westminster, brothers, Edgar Ward and Jerry Lee Ward, Charlie Edward Ward and sister, Doris L. Ward (Myers). She is survived by two daughters Pamela Kay Robertson and Lulu Jean Holland both of Dayton, Ohio; brothers, Frederick Ward of Westminster , Lenard Ward of Ellicot City, Arthur Ward of Hampstead and Wilbur John Ward of Finksburg, sisters; Nellie Vailiant of PA and Nancy Arif of Frederick, MD. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. There will be no funeral services and interment will be private. Special thanks to all medical personnel at Sinai Hospital and Hospice for all of their care, kindness and compassion in regard to Shirley's extensive care, you are all greatly appreciated.
