BISHOP _ Simon Roger 1951 - 2006 Simon Roger Bishop, beloved husband of Mary-Ellen Bishop of Calgary, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2006 at the age of 55 years. Simon was born on March 24, 1951 in Bridport, England and immigrated to Canada in 1969. He served with the Canadian Armed Forces for twenty-three years. Simon later became employed with the Calgary Stampede where he worked until his death. He was an avid horseman and enjoyed hockey and playing golf. Besides his loving wife Mary-Ellen, Simon is also survived by his mother Pat Bishop of NS; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Andy and Pam Bishop, Chris and Peggy Bishop, all of NS; a sister and brother-in-law, Lucy and Paul Roussy of ON; his mother-in-law Marg Penner; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Doug and Josset Penner, Carol Penner, Dennis and Melanie Penner, all of SK, Karen and Paul St. Amant of AB; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Bill Bishop and nephew Jason. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) today, November 3, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com . If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, c/o Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331 - 29 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 4N2 (Telephone 403-521-3433).
