Simon ENS Obituary
July 3, 1953 - June 7, 2017
It is with great sadness to announce the peaceful passing of Simon Ens surrounded by his loving family. He went to be with his Lord and Saviour on June 7, 2017, at the age of 63 at St. Paul's Hospital after a lengthy hard- fought battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Eva, of 42 years, his three treasured daughters Tamara (Darin), Kolton Wall; Melanie (Darin), Camryn Vanstone; Amanda (Dallas) Finley, Ainsley Derksen; and goddaughter Nicole Dunlap. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Anna (Peter) Neufeld, Henry (Linda) Ens, Erna Janzen, Ron (Linda) Ens, Carl (Denise) Ens; mother-in-law Susan Krahn, brother and sisters-in-law George (Martha) Krahn, Mary (Bill) Hiebert, Marge (Ben) Rempel, Peter Krahn, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Abram (2011) and Helena (2015), sister Hilda (1952) and brother-in-law Jake Janzen (2014). The family would like to thank Dr. Zaidi, Dr. Younis, Dr. Brunet, nurse Chantal and all the staff at the Cancer Centre for the kind and compassionate care he received. Also Dr. Demkiw-Bartel, Home Care nurse Janet, and all the others involved in his cancer journey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saskatoon Cancer Centre or a charity of your choice. Viewing will take place at Martens Warman Funeral Home on Sunday, June 11 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 12 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Mennonite Church in Neuanlage, SK. Interment will take place at Warman Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are in care of MARTENS WARMAN FUNERAL HOME (306-934-4888).

Simon, I was lucky enough to have known you for my whole life and have you and Eva as influence and support, you were there to support me and show love through a couple tough and rough times through my past. I can't believe you are gone, even now i can almost hear your voice saying "Hey Brod" and i will miss it forever! Thank you for being such a wonderful man and example of what every man should strive to be and how to carry himself and thank you for being such a huge part of my childhood and young adulthood, i Will forever be thankful for that!

So very saddened to hear that Simon has left us. I have happy memories of my daughters spending time with Simon and Eva.
