Simpson Frame Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Mar. 12 to Mar. 16, 2021.
Simpson Joseph Frame, Jr. passed away peacefully on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the age of 87. He was the beloved husband of 68 years to Marie Olivia Andre Frame. Loving father of Donna Frame Hemelt (Milton) and Simpson Joseph Frame III (Bridgette). Proud grandfather of Nicole Leigh Plain (Kalvin), Nina Hemelt (Jewel), Nisa Lynn Hemelt Mohon (Josh), Freddie Ubas (Tonya), Kelly Frame (Seth) and Ryan Frame. Brother of Betty Barker and Tina Devillier. He is survived and fondly remembered by his 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Annie Phillips Frame and Simpson Joseph Frame Sr., along with his 3 sisters and 5 brothers. Simpson was born in Palmetto, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before settling in Picayune, MS. He enjoyed a long career of 31 years with Kaiser Aluminum. Simpson truly enjoyed life through his simple pleasures of hunting, bowling with friends (and the Kaiser League) along with spending time with his family and friends. Simpson will always be remembered for his loyalty and dedication to his family, his loving spirit, his laughter, and spoiling the grandchildren. He was wonderful example of what it means to care for others and will be deeply missed by us all. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, March 16 from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm, followed by a Funeral Mass in Simpson's memory beginning at 1:30PM. He will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. Honored Pallbearers are: Milton, S.J., John, Josh, K.P., Darren, Seth and Freddie. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to help Kollyn Chad Evans with Children's Hospital of New Orleans at 504-896-9375 or www.chnola.org. I can not express the hurt in my heart for y’all. We will be praying for y’all. May God ease the terrible pain you are feeling in your heart for the lost of Uncle Simpson, it’s not going to be easy but try to keep remembering the good times and the memories that y’all all made together. Please hug Aunt Olivia and whisper in her ear that I love her an Uncle Simpson, kiss her on the cheek for me.

Please tell all the grandkids how sorry we are for their lost.

It breaks my heart that we are losing all our older generation it is so sad. I think of the days of picking figs, hunting, shelling & snapping beans outside in front of the garages, working the cows, sitting on the front porch and all drinking coffee that maw would bring, the potato maw grew in the quart jar on the front porch, making the black cakes, the sleep overs at maw and paw’s, and paw saying, I don’t want to hear another peep, paw coming in the bedroom with the flit gun, y’all’s little Chihuahua, one of the best memories is us combining paw’s hair and putting the popiyauts in his hair. We all need to make sure we pass all these memories on so they will never be forgotten. I love y’all.

My dear Donna,, I have wanted to call and talk to you, but I can't seem to find the words or stop crying. Please know I love you and your mom and dad . He was such a kind and wonderful person, what we all would hope for in a man.
My most cherished memory of both he and your mom is the way they looked at each other and held each other when they danced together. You could see the love they had , and the rest of us could only wish to have just a touch of such devotion.
If you need anything or i can do anything for you, just let me know.
Please tell your mom i love her and I will be praying for yall. I will see you Tuesday.
Love, Linda
