Sin Pin Yoong

Sin Pin Yoong passed away peacefully on July 25, 2018. "S.P." as his family and friends would call him, was born in Malaysia on February 13, 1953. He came to the United States as an international student and graduated from the University of Houston in 1977. S.P. found great joy in making those around him laugh; he always had a new joke to tell every day. He had a great passion for collecting timepieces that he passed down to his two sons, Jason and Philip. His favorite sport was soccer, in which he played goalie, and his spirit always lifted with excitement during the FIFA World Cup. S.P. is survived by his wife Janet, first son Jason and his wife Catherine, second son Philip, and brother Chao Pin. He also loved being part of a large family that brought him much joy and laughter. He was a beloved son, husband, and father who always thought of his family first. S.P. will be missed.
