Siobhan Buckley

Siobhan Buckley Smyrna - Siobhan Buckley passed away on February 14, 2023 after a brave, three-year battle with colon cancer. She was 46.

Originally from Weymouth, Mass., Siobhan was born in 1976. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Hingham, Mass. in 1994. She graduated from American University, Washington, D.C., in 1998 with a B.A. in History and American Studies.

Siobhan worked for many years in Washington, D.C., most notably as the National Program Director at the America the Beautiful Foundation. After moving back to Massachusetts, she graduated in 2008 from the University of Massachusetts, Boston with a Masters in Accounting. She achieved her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation and her Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification. A consummate professional, she was a respected CPA at several companies, including Wolf & Company (Boston) and most recently VHB (Watertown, Mass.)

A kind, gentle and positive-natured soul, Siobhan loved travel, nature, childhood camping trips to Nickerson State Park on Cape Cod, the Royal Family, her cat Sage, watching White Christmas during the holidays with her family, building Legos with her nephew, and most of all, spending time making memories with her many, many friends.

Siobhan is survived by her parents Fred and Wendy Buckley of Whitman, Mass.; brother Jason Buckley, sister-in-law Julie Buckley, niece Shannon Buckley and nephew Jackson Buckley of Smyrna, Ga.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for Spring or Summer 2023 in the Boston area. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
