Skylar Chance Braden

Funeral services for Skylar Chance Braden, 14, of Chickasha, were held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 1, 2007, in the Bible Baptist Church. Kim Hayes officiated.Skylar Chance Braden was born August 20, 1993, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma , the son of Brandi Nicole Braden and Thomas James Adair. He died October 29, 2007, in Chickasha.Skylar came to Chickasha in 2004. He currently attended Chickasha Middle School where he was very active in many school activities. He enjoyed participating in the Choir and singing and he had previously served on Student Council and the Yearbook Committee. In his spare time he enjoyed playing games on his computer, cooking, spending time with his friends and he was an avid animal lover.He was preceded in death by both great grandmothers: Dorothy J. Goddard and June C. Adair; great grandfather, Lawrence Langston; and a great uncle, Wayne Loper.Survivors include parents: T.J. and Brandi Braden; two brothers: Kaylan and Ryan Adair; and one sister, Zylee Adair, all of the home; maternal grandparents: Gayla and Dave Daughtery, of Mid-West City; maternal grandpa, Woody Braden, of Oklahoma City; paternal grandparents: Paula and Larry Langston, of Oklahoma City; paternal grandparents: Tom and Judy Adair, of Mid West City; five aunts and uncles: Shane Braden, Derek Daughtery, Melissa and Brent Speegle, Alaina and Isaac Brietanbach and Brandon and Sarah Adair; two cousins: Korben Speegle and Danika Adair.Following the funeral services the family chose cremation.Funeral services and cremation arrangements were under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
