Her death will be reaching her 7 year mark as of June 20th 2025 and I´m still deeply affected by what happened. I understand that I´m saying this many years later after the incident but if she hadn´t have done this, I would´ve still had my best friend and I still miss her to this day. I met her at granitecon in 2017, she was the sweetest person I have met. If it wasn't for my friend telling me about her I wouldn't have met her. She had the brightest smile and kind eyes. I wish I knew what was happening. She is the sole reason why I make it a point to help others in need. I miss her and wish her family the best of wishes.

I had known Skylar since kindergarten and i was absolutley devestated the day that i learned what happened to her and i know that it took me 2 years but I finally found the courage to write somthing about her. Skylar was smart, funny, kind, and always knew how to make someone smile. Skylar was an angel and whenever she laughed or ran her beautiful curly hair would bounce. everyone will miss you Skylar.

I pray for your family. I have four daughters, all of which who have been bullied in school, and I could not imagine bearing the weight that you have had to go through. My youngest 3 have asked to be homeschooled, of which they love. Praying for a peace, that only God can give, for your family and those involved.

Skylar, I can't imagine what you went through at school. No one deserves to be bullied. I wish you could have seen yourself as beautiful, bold and bright. I wish that you could have realized that no one else's opinion matters, it is how you view yourself. My daughter met Skylar a few months ago and is going to college for 5-12 education degree. I can assure you that Skylar will never be forgotten. My heart aches for all she went through and the tragic loss of this beautiful child.

I had the wonderful privilege of getting to know Skylar at Girls Inc. for a few years when she first started there at only 5 years old. She immediately became part of the Girls Inc. family. She was so kind hearted and such a free spirit. She loved to sing and dance all day long, and her laugh was infectious. She was so innocent and creative. She was never afraid to be herself. I looked forward to seeing her everyday and listening to all of the stories she had to tell. She always reminded me how important it is to live life to the fullest and embrace the good in every day. May Skylar rest in the sweetest peace. She will forever be in my heart. My deepest condolences are with her loved ones. She will be forever loved and missed.

I knew Skylar from the mentoring program at Girls Inc. What an amazing girl who was wise beyond her years and just such a sweet, individual and loving soul. We had lots of really great conversations. She had a gift for understanding others. I will miss her smile and her outlook on things many didn't understand. So sorry she was bullied. So sad she felt she couldn't keep going. We will all miss her.

Skylar made a huge impression on me from the age of 5 meeting her when I worked at Girls Inc she has a special presence, an infectious laugh and always a kind word for everyone else. Over the years when stopping by at Girls Inc she always had a big smile and hello. Recently as a mentor I got to enjoy spending time with many of the girls including Skylar who was goofy as usual and have having fun, drawing pictures and taking part in activities. She touched the lives of so many people and made a difference in mine and many, many others! Keep smiling Skylar and sharing the love you have!

I am so sorry for this terrible loss. Skylar was bright, talented and sweet. I worked in the before school program at Parker Varney in 2016/2017 when Skylar was there. I have a child with similar interests in cosplay and drawing.

Skylar attended the school where I work from kindergarten through 4th grade. She was never a student of mine, but made a great impression on me! I'll always remember her sweet little voice! One of the last times I saw her she was wearing a shirt with that cartoon Pusheen cat and when I complimented her, she gave me all sorts of info on it! She was just so fun to chat with. One time I was with a group in the computer lab and I asked Skylar a question. She had me in this whole conversation before I said "Hey! We should both get back to work!"
When the 2017-18 school year started I was transferred to work upstairs with the 5th graders (I normally work in Kindergarten/1st grade) and I was looking forward to reuniting with the kids from this particular class. A few weeks in, I asked "Whatever happened to that Skylar girl?" A couple girls stayed in touch and said she was in a new school. I hope they passed on the "hello" from me. You will be missed!

Skylar sweetie may you find peace now, open your wings and fly high sweet girl. For the family I am so sorry for your loss words can not heal your pain.
