Mrs. Sylvia Loy Brown passed away February 28, 2021 at the age of 86. She was born in Norfolk to the late Charles Lorenzo and Laura Hassell Smith. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Clifford A. Brown, Jr. Sylvia was a faithful member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Chesapeake.

She is survived by her daughters, Joyce A. Campbell (Randy), Delores M. Staver (Don) and Laura Brown; sons, Clifford A. Brown,III (Carol), Thomas P. Brown (Peggy), Stephen O. Brown (Pam), Timothy K. Brown (Joyce), Jeffery A. Brown and James R. Brown; 24 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

Viewing be held Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake. Due to COVID restrictions temperature checks and masks are required to enter the building; a total of ten guest at any given time will be allowed. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, 521 McCosh Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23320 with Rev. Neal A. Nichols, FSSP officiating. She will be entombed in the mausoleum at St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery, Norfolk. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial contributions to the church.
