Sonya V. Bass
Sonya V. Bass, age 39, gained her wings with her mother and family by her side on Friday, April 7, 2023. Sonya was born in sunny California on May 5, 1983, to Donna Baptiste and the late Stephen Baptiste, Sr. Sonya was a force! An educator and strong-willed leader with a smile bigger than life. Her brilliance and optimism will be missed by her family. Sonya is survived by her children, Kyree and Solomon, her mother, eight siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral to be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Marshall-March Funeral Home in NW Washington, DC.

I don't think I ever met you, if I did I can't remember but as I look at your picture and see your mom's face, and your smile full of joy, energy and good spirits, my heart breaks for her and your entire family. I'm sorry for any suffering you may have experienced and I pray that your rest is a peaceful one.
