Sophie Stelzer Obituary
She is survived by her daughters Jacqueline (Frank) Campo, Deborah Jacobs, and Carla (John) Forkin. Her legacy continues through 13 cherished grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy.
Sophie was preceded in death by three of her children: James (Geraldine) Stelzer, Mark (Julie) Stelzer, and Diane Stelzer as well as her sister, Mary (Joseph) Olejarz.
Throughout her life, Sophie dedicated herself to volunteer work, generously giving her time to organizations such as Meals on Wheels. She was also a proud member of the Rosary Making Club at SS. Cyril & Methodius Slovak Catholic Church.
A Funeral Mass will be held in her honor at SS. Cyril & Methodius Slovak Catholic Church, located at 41233 Ryan Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48314, on Friday, October 17th at 12:00 noon, with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the church. All who knew and loved Sophie are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of a woman whose kindness and faith touched so many.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
In honor of Sophie, donations can be made to SS. Cyril & Methodius Slovak Catholic Church or Hospice of Michigan Inc. (Southeast Michigan Region).
