President and Sister Pe'a: Please accept our sympathies and prayers in behalf of you and your family at this time of parting with your beloved son. We hope that the services have been sweet this past week and the memories fond and uplifting. Both of you can testify that the veil is thin and much work awaits all of us on the other side. He has gone first to fulfill a calling and you can look forward to a very joyous reuniting.

Our alofa always to both of you and to your children and grandchildren.

Dear President and Sister Pe'a:

It saddened our hearts to have heard of the sudden passing of Spencer. However, it also warmed our herts in learning that he was surround by loved ones when he passed through the veil. We know of how you and Tala are so proud of Spencer.

At times like this, it brings to mind of things long past, when we stood with others in Provo, when a young infant was laid to rest, during the time we worked for Seminary and Insititute at BYU's lower campus with Brother Tyler.

Our love and 'ofa atu to you, Suau'u, Tala and family, at this tender time during this short separation, as we see things in the eternal perspective.

It is never easy for parents to lay a child to rest, infant or grown, reversing the usual order of things, where children are supposed to lay their parents to rest, instead of the reverse.

We know, as you have learned in your service as president and matron of the Apia Samoa Temple, the veil can be so thin during these tender times.

May you and your loved ones continue to enjoy the peace promised by the Savior to his deciples, which He only can give during these difficult times.

Diana and I have always considered ourself blessed to have known you since the 1950's, and have always considered you and Tala the best and most tender of friends.

Love and 'ofa lahi fau atu,

Rodney and Diana

Dear Pe'a Family,

This world has lost such a humble young man. He is a man of few words and who has a big heart. He is a son, brother, father and friend and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Our prayers are with you at this time of sorrow. Families are forever. May the Lord bless you all. Trust in the Lord.

We love you.

Sua, Tala and family: We are saddened at the loss of your son. We did not know him but we know you (oulua), what you stand for, who you are and how the Lord loves you. We are assured by the Gospel in the overall scheme of things but we must be sustained by each other to make it through earth life. There are multitudes who love you and will give you the unconditional love and support you deserve. Count us among the number. Soifua.

Pres and Sis Pe'a
My favorite memory of Spencer was at my first youth dance, Spencer and one of his friends were the D.J's that night. Because of his cheerful laugh and loving personality that dance was fun for everyone. My condolences go out to you and your family. May you find the peace you need through the Loving arms of our Heavenly Father.

I will deeply miss my cousin Spencer, who I know as Ben. Ben was my closest childhood friend and we shared many hours hanging out over the summers. We were close like brothers and I have lost a big part of my life. His time on Earth was short, however I know he is in a better place now. With much love, Dave Coleman
