LINDSEY Mrs. Stacy R. Lindsey, age 82 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2008. Stacy was born on January 16, 1926, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Robert J. Conroy and Nell (Smith) Conroy. She was married September 30, 1944, to Milfred G. Lindsey, Sr. who preceded her in death on March 28, 2001. She and her husband moved to Jefferson City in 1961. She was employed with J.C. Penny for several years and was part owner of The Male Box Clothing Store. She later worked at Lindsey's Clothing Stores until she retired in 1993. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph Parish. In her later years she most enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Survivors include four sons: M. Gene Lindsey Jr. and wife Mary, Canton, Michael W. Lindsey and wife Lynda, Holts Summit, Mark S. Lindsey and wife Barbara, Jefferson City, Matthew B. Lindsey and wife Marilyn, Jefferson City; two daughters: Shelley A. Quinn and husband Trent, Jefferson City and Shana L. Lindsey, St. Louis; 11 grandchildren: Amanda M. Lindsey, M. Gene Lindsey III, Bret M. Lindsey, Tera M. Turner, Mark S. Lindsey II, Jacob A. Lindsey, Matthew B. Lindsey, Jr., Adam J. Lindsey, Zachary T. Lindsey, Kaden J. Quinn and Kambria M. Quinn; seven great-grandchildren: Nicholas and Camryn Turner, Christopher and Jillian Lindsey, and Willow, Abe and Soleil Lindsey-Paek; and one brother: William Conroy and wife Joanne, St. Louis. She was also preceded in death by one brother: Robert J. Conroy. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2008, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with a prayer service to be held at 6:00 p.m., with Father Tom McGrath officiating. Private family interment will follow. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Cathedral of St. Joseph, St. Joseph School Building Fund or Helias High School. Shelley- I was so sorry to hear about your mom. I remember coming to your house when we were young and she was such a fun mom. She was always smiling and laughing. She was so proud of you and Shana. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
