Missing my father this Christmas... Stan´s songs bring me back to my childhood when he was still with us. It means more to me than anyone would ever know. He was so funny (especially to a fellow Scandinavian)! I´m sure he is missed, especially this time of year. Merry Christmas

Talked to Stan and Barbara on the phone several times. All I can think of is what Uncle Torvald would say, "Stan and Doug, and Yogi: it all yust vent down so pretty doggone smood dere, see." Tack sa mycket from a "sqvare-head Svede".

I had the honor of meeting Stan at the puyallup fair Victorian Christmas..unfortunately I don´t remember the year. After watching him on TV all those years he was on it was wonderful to actually meet him.
He was very kind and thanked me for watching the show those years. I quit when it went off the air.I loved him as a child and realized when I met him so many years later... I still did. He brought happiness and joy to that little girl who was told she was worthless. For that time of watching the show I could forget the ugliness and be entertained .
I am truly sorry for your loss of Stan. My son passed the same year as Stan only 3 months later.

Like so many kids growing up in seattle in the 50's and early 60's, I watched Stan and No Mo faithfully every week afternoon. His show was a delightful mixture of silliness and some very good lessons about life in general. In later days, we, my wife and I , and many of the faithfull would go to see him at the Ballard Scandinavian festival. He was always gracious to all of his fans. With his passing, we lost a true gentleman.

went to see Stan at Ballard Seafood Fest in his mid eighties and he was still a sparkling performer and loveable guy. I always went home with another signed CD. The live shows were great.

I am in my mid-70s now and grew up watching Stan and No Mo when I was a kid. Around 1955-56, Stan held a show at Jane Addams Jr. High School, near where I lived. I was thrilled and Stan autographed a brown paper bag that I had as my only piece of paper. As an academic, I've lived all over the USA and always recounted to my colleagues Stan's goofy humor and funny songs. I hope to have been a worthy ambassador. RIP Stan and entertain the folks in Valhalla.

Stan Boreson and No Mo entertained me week after week with original songs, comedy and good old fashioned humor. I can still sing his songs and just seeing his face put a smile on my face. Because of No Mo I had two basset hounds as an adult. I even wrote to Stan and was given permission to use the name No Mo.
Stan, thank you for being part of my childhood. I will never forget you.

I am 73 and like so many others, my wife and I grew up with Stan and he continues to be a part of our life. One of the phrases we use every day ends with "time in the clubhouse." i.e. "it's walk the dog time in the clubhouse." "It is Husky football time in the clubhouse." In this curious way, we stay connected to a very special and precious person and a time of our life when we celebrated innocent, kind and gentle humor.

Today is Saint Paddy's day 2018. My girlfriend and I are in Rome, Italy. I will remember today as the day I heard that a beautiful human being left this world.
We were reminiscing about childhood, and the name Stan Boreson came up. I googled Stan and the video, " I Don't Look Good Naked Any More" came up. I played it and we laughed to tears. I then read the Wikipedia entry on Stan and saw that he had passed. Saddened and shocked. I had the pleasure of meeting him twice in my life. As others have said, he will be missed. Thanks to the internet, we can continue to enjoy his love for life, his talent and his humor. Rest easy dear man.

My folks in Everett had the first television in our neighborhood. Madison elementary school was just two blocks away, and many of my friends would come home to my place for cookies and milk and watch Kings Clubhouse with Stan.
Thanks Stan and No Mo

I grew up in Seattle and would come home from school and watch JP Patches first then turn over to KING 5 and watch Stan Boreson,I used to love watching when Stan would hold up a Twinkie up to Slo Mo(his dog that slept all of the time in a basket)nose and the dog would wake up and eat the Twinkie. Stan will be missed.

Here I am in Haines, Alaska for the past 48 years and a friend who grew-up in Seattle too, loaned me a copy of Stan's "Christmas" songs. So many memories of my youth from watching the Klub House. Stan, you came to my grade school once and I still remember No-Mo and Miss Mo too. I so treasure your memory! Rest in Peace dear friend. I'm sure the Lutefisk is the BEST EVER! God bless you and all those you loved.

one of the highlights of when i was a boy scout was doing patrol duty at our grade school for the carnival. as luck would have it, I was at the very spot where Stan drove up and then asked me if would hold Slo Mo's leash for a second while he got his things out of the car. Then I actually got to walk him inside the building to the event. Thanks so much for being such an influence on my life and so many others Thanks for Zero Dockus too, life was but a dream

I thank you for all the fun memories of watching your shows when I was growing up in Seattle.
I remembered somebody coming to our house in Seattle when I was probably about third and fourth grade with an accordion.
I was trying to see if I wanted to take accordion lessons. But the thing was so big,
I could hardly hold it.
That was pretty funny!!
If it wasn't for you and watching Lawrence Welk,I wouldn't have even considered an accordion.
We also listened
to your cassettes/cds in the car
with our children and had many laughs together on road trips.
I explained how you were such a wonderful actor comedian and warm hearted person on television fun to watch .
And how we were lucky to have JP Patches and Gertrude and other local shows. So many good memories as a child growing up watching local television celebrities.
I remember being on the JP Patches show with our Girl Scout troop #1237 from Seattle. JP picked me up and put me down on top of his big shoes.
Also,we were on Buttons and his Buddies and Captain Puget with the Girl Scouts.
All of it was so much fun.
It felt like you were part of my family which you were and still are, even though we never met . Both my mom's parents came from Norway in the 1920s and we all enjoyed watching your shows and listening to your music and silly antics.
Thank you it felt like home.
tusen tak.
I'm not sure if I spelled that correctly.
A thousand Thanks in Norwegian.
Uff Da Yah Sure ya betcha
My mom just went to be with the Lord on 10-9-2017.
I hope you have fun and lots of laughs up there with Lord. My mom loved you too.
We had lots of laughs and we would sing and dance together watching your show .❤

I had the privilege of being able to call him a close friend from the late 1940's, where my Father Frank Mead Sr, met him entertaining at a business convention at the than idle Boeing Plant in Renton, since the war was over. He brought him home for lunch as we lived so close to Boeing in North Renton. What a thrill to meet him in person, even played my accordion while there. Stan played in a great dance band with his cousin whose band and facility it was, Harry Lindbeck, another accordionist, at the 7 Cedars in Mt Vernon, My parents Frank & Florence Mead wouldn't miss a dance nite there unless death was imminent & I'm not so sure about that. Stan's wit, ready smile to everyone and his talent he spread all over the Northwest will be deeply missed. RIP Stan Boreson.

Stan Boreson was one of my first mentors. I watched his show every day after school as long as it was on. I loved him, NO-Mo, and Miss-Mo too.
I met him and his Basset hounds in Ellensburg Wa outside the Highschool prior to a show he did there. My father was the host, so he was able to do that wonderful thing for us. I reached down to pet his dogs and he said "only No-Mo cuz Miss-Mo bites!" I felt like I knew some big secret of his!
He was one of my first mentors. I loved his singing, stories, and guest characters like Uncle Tor-Vol, who ran for senator every year.
It was back in the days when there wasn't as many choices as to what TV shows were on. I was lucky to have him there. We could use a few more Stan Boresons around.

Stan Boreson had significant impact on our childhood, growth to adulthood, and counted celebration of Scandinavian roots and amusement through raising our family. He was an immense gift to our community, local and global. Thoughts of him will always bring a smile to my face and a zippy, rhythmic song to my heart-accompanied. Y his accordion, of course. Our heartfelt thanks to him and deep warmth to his family.

What a sad day for Seattle and Stan's fans! I remember so well his King's Klubhouse from when I was a child. He was company for me as the child of working parents, when I was home alone after school. I remember Slo Motion and later No Motion...his beloved hounds. R.I.P., Stan. You will be missed by so many.

I grew up watching Stan Boreson on KING 5 tv in Seattle WA and Stan influnced me to learn how music works and sounds as a kid.
Stan was cool to watch all of the different
personalities he played, my favorite was the Swedish Answer Man and all of the funny quips( sounds) that they used, espicialy behind the scenes where sometimes things got out of hand like taking powder and throwing it in Stans face while he was talking and the ADlibs Stan did. They just dont make it like that anymore. Oh ya the dogs SLO-MO (named after the hydroplane) about the only time they sat up was with the Hostess Twinkies waved in front of his dogs mouth SLO-MO sat up and licked the Twinkie (only $.15 cents. Stan appeared a few times on STRUMMIN' TIME LIVE from 1996 to 2001 he performed quite a few of his whitty numbers that all were funny. Stan Boreson will be missed he brought a lot of smiles to us who grew up in the Puget Sound.

I grew up with Stan's music, and my father was a big fan. He's been gone for more than 20 years, but I still have his accordian. Family gatherings often involved my brothers singing as many of his songs as they could remember ("Homey, Homey Brew"). In 2012, I was privileged to attend a picnic in Gas Works Park to celebrate the legacy of Seattle's children's television. Stan and Barbara were among the honored guests, along with Bob "Gertrude" Newman. I was able to sit down with him and his wife and express my gratitude for all the music and all the smiles. He even autographed my copy of "Yust Try to Sing Along in Swedish" ("a Swede was designed to make Norwegians mad!") Ya shur you betcha! RIP sir, you will always be loved!

We were incredibly lucky to have been on the receiving end of Stan's jokes and fun. I was a boy scout when he was coming to our school for a function and my job was 'traffic control', well to my sheer amazement and thrill, Stan drove up and asked me if i'd walk No Mo into the school while he grabbed his other things, something that I'll never forget, it was a complete honor and I remember thinking how cub scouts really had its privileges, beyond that we were blessed beyond measure by his ability to make us laugh and enjoy every thing he did. Thank You so much.

Rest in Peace, Stan! You filled thousands with laughter, joy and delight. The clubhouse song and many others will always be with us. Perhaps the biggest thrill of my early years was going to see Stan perform at Colgate Park in University Place. The whole neighborhood was there for a big community breakfast, but Stan coming to the park was all we could talk about for days, before and after the event. I vividly remember my friends and I peeked around the kitchen door and caught No Mo eating bacon in the corner. Stan's appearance on the "Prairie Home Companion," is incomparable, especially his singing of, "I Left My Heart in Mukilteo..." It's time for a prominent, public memorial statue of Stan Boreson.

My mom always talked about Stan and the bassets coming to her house in Greenwood with Pastor Norsletten and baptizing her first husband Darrell Brown in 1960. My mom raised Beagles and loved No-Mo because they were like cousin dogs. We saw Stan and Barbara at the Tacoma Holiday Gift Show in 2003 and he autographed CDs for her. They talked for some time about their memories. My mom passed away the following year. That day is a fond memory because it was the first time I had seen her happy since loosing my dad dad in 1994. Praying for peace and Gods love to all of Stans family and friends. We will all meet again.

I ,as all other Seattle born kids... I LOVED Stan Boreson and No mo!!!! I watched every time he was on TV...I can still as a 59 year old woman sing his famous songs! I also rode on the christmas train, that traveled along the tracks now Burke Gillman trail area...1963 ( 5 years old) I was thrilled to see Stan Boreson play his accordian at the table next to me! Again, as an adult I met him one on one , as he had something framed at my place of employment...and as I spoke to him I was like a giddy child!!! meeting a famous actor!
I know he had a long and wonderful life and we are all sad to see him gone!

As a second grader I had the privilege of walking through the closet on the King's Klubhouse set when our church choir sang on Stan's show. I watched his show every afternoon. As an adult I had the privilege of attending a couple of the 4th of July celebrations at my friend Amy Brown's grandma's house on Camano Island. What a joy it was to hear Stan sing and to get to chat with him in person! As two people in the travel industry we had a lot of stories to share. He was so genuine! - Kathy Roach.
