William Stanley "Stan" Goodwin, 49, died Saturday morning July 10, 2010 at the Hock Family Pavilion (Duke Hospice) in Durham.
He was born in Vance County the son of Frances Wood Goodwin and Eddie Lee Goodwin.
Funeral services will be held 1 o’clock Tuesday afternoon in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Kirk and Rev. Jimmy Earp officiating.
Stan is survived by a son, Kody Goodwin of Franklinton; and Kody’s mother, Judith Mauer of Phoenix, AZ.; parents, Eddie Lee and Frances Goodwin of Franklinton; brothers, Johnnie Goodwin and wife Shelby, Mike Goodwin and wife Helen, Eddie Goodwin and wife Jean, Marty Goodwin all of Franklinton; friend, Sharon Granger of Raleigh; niece, Sherry Barham and husband Chris of Franklinton; nephew, Bernie Goodwin of Zebulon.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Duke Hospice, 4321 Medical Park Dr. Suite 101 Durham, NC 27704.
Friends may visit with the family from 7:00-8:30 pm Monday at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center 405 South Main St. Wake Forest, NC 27587.
