Stanley R. Baron

Stanley Raymond "Ray" Baron, 61, of West Deer Township, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison Township. Born July 12, 1945, in Harrison, Ray had lived in West Deer Township all of his life. He was a 1963 graduate of West Deer High School, member of Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, Russellton, and a 40-year member of the Western PA Tractor Pullers Association, Butler. He enjoyed farming, playing the saxophone and traveling. Survivors include his wife of five years, Miriam E. Gorek; three stepchildren, Deneane E. Wiles, Gary (Carol) Gorek and Trenton Gorek, all of Saxonburg; a granddaughter, Elyza Wiles, one uncle, Anthony Baron, of Saxonburg; and an aunt, Rose Grzybek, of Curtisville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley H. and Casimiera "Jenny" (Kedzior) Baron. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Arnold.
