MARKOVITZ STANLEY
Age 83, of Churchill, died Wednesday, October 7, 2015. He was born July 23, 1932, in McKeesport and was the son of the late Aron and Mollie Jacob Markovitz. He was a member of Parkway Jewish Center. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War. Mr. Markovitz was the retired proprietor of Baron Industries. He is survived by his wife, Rosalyn B. Simon Markovitz; children, Dr. Bruce (Robin) Markovitz, MD of Philadelphia, Lynn (Steven) Savran of Philadelphia, Richard (Diane) Rosenbaum of Gibsonia, Scott (Mindy) Markovitz of Philadelphia, Ruth (Greg Anderson) Markovitz of Renfew and Jessica (Michael) Mroz of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Brandon Savran, Michele Markovitz, Matthew Savran, Michael Markovitz, Marli Markovitz, Aaron Markovitz, Rachel Rosenbaum, Jordan Rosenbaum, Abigail Mroz, Jacob Mroz and Simon Mroz; brother, Marvin (Tootsie) Markovitz of Pittsburgh; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Markovitz was preceded in death by his siblings, Harry Markovitz, Helen Schusset, Adolf Markowitz and Samuel Markovitz. Friends will be received on Friday from 11-12 Noon at the JENNIFER S. JORDAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., White Oak where a service will be held at 12 Noon with Rabbi Moshe Russell and Cantor Henry Shapiro officiating. Interment will follow in New Gemilas Chesed Cemetery, White Oak.
