Dear family of Dr. Sherman, I was recently looking at my birth certificate and saw the name of the "attendant" was Dr. Stanley E. Sherman. I did as one does and googled. My deepest condolences on your loss. Dr. Sherman brought me into this world in January of 1971 via c-section at Methodist Hospital as my mom was in a full leg cast. From reading the other messages here, I now know him to be a caring, dedicated and wonderful person. I remember my mom always speaking highly of her doctor when reminiscing. May he rest in peace.

Dearest family of Dr. Stanley Sherman. I am saddened by the passing of your dear father, grandfather, great-grandfather. It´s nearly five years since he passed on, but I´m sure you still miss him and I hope these words console you. He delivered our only child, after we had multiple miscarriages. He once promised he would make sure we had a baby under his care, and it did happen. We loved him, and we thank God for him. Our child is 36 years old, and we still talk about Dr. Sherman. He was a gift from God. I pray that he is resting in peace for he did God´s work his whole life.

Joan, I'm so saddened to read of Dr. Sherman's passing. My sister in law, Bettye and I were always treated so kindly by both of you when we would come down for appts. From Mississippi. I sure missed you all. Bettye passed in 2009. You and your family will be in my Prayers.

My condolences to Joan and the children. Dr. Sherman was a sincere and dedicated doctor and person, he went beyond the call of duty to care for his patients. He delivered my sons in 1985 and 1986 at Methodist Hospital.

I was so sorry to hear of Dr. Sherman's passing. He delivered my three children in 1978, 1981 at Methodist, and 1985 at Humana Women's hospital. He was a very professional OB/GYN. Rest in peace.

Dr. Sherman was my OB/GYN Physician in New Orleans East and delivered my daughter at Methodist Hospital in 1980. I often thought about Dr. and Mrs. Stanley. He was one of the best, with great office and bedside manners. Sincere condolences to Mrs. Sherman, who ran his office practice and was very sweet to all. Blessings to his entire family.

I was saddened to hear of Dr. Sherman's passing. What a wonderful OBGYN doctor he was. I was fortunate enough to be one of his patients for many years, and he delivered both of my children. When he retired from his practice, I was really upset. It was difficult finding a new doctor to replace him, because Dr. Sherman truly cared about each and every one of his patients. My condolences to his wife, Joan and his family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

My other worked for him and he delivered me in 1968. When I was little and went to his office he had my newborn picture up on his wall. My condolences, thoughts and prayers to the family. Thank you Dr. Sherman for helping bring me in to the world!
