Stephanie Coleman Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 5, 2024.
Mary "Stephanie" Coleman, 51, a devout follower of Christ, returned to God unexpectedly on December 3, 2024.

She was born in Farmville, Virginia on December 28, 1972 to Sam and Mary Coleman. Stephanie attended Prince Edward Academy before attending Virginia Tech, followed by earning a Master's Degree in Social Work from Radford University. Stephanie considered herself a lifelong Hokie. She had a rewarding career working for Community Service Boards both in the New River Valley and Central Virginia as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Stephanie was a devoted follower of Christ who cherished His Word and teaching others of his saving grace. She attended New Life Church in Farmville, Virginia for many years where she led Bible studies and was an active leader in the Impact Girls Ministry.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Coleman, who she has now joined in Heaven. She is survived by her father Sam Coleman (Charlotte), her brother Chip Coleman (Laura), her nephew Jackson Coleman, and her niece Peyton Coleman. Stephanie cherished her relationships and had a rich circle of family and friends who she loved deeply. A celebration of life will be held on January 4, 2025 at 2:00 PM at New Life Church (9 Mahan Road, Farmville, Va 23901) with coffee and refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to be made to New Life Church or an organization of your choosing that improves the lives of others the way Stephanie did.
