Stephanie Lee Hillegass Stephanie Lee Hillegass, 44, of Unionville, Virginia, was received by her Heavenly Father on Friday, August 17, 2012.

She was born in Kingwood, West Virginia, on November 6, 1967. Much of her youth was spent in Michigan before settling in Virginia, in 1983. Stephanie was preceded in death by her husband, Brian Richard Hillegass; maternal grandparents, Ashford and Pearl Maxwell; paternal grandparents, Frederick and Vernace Bishop. She is survived by her two sons, Blaine Ashford Hillegass and Christian Brian Hillegass; stepson, Brandon Richard Hillegass; her parents, A. Lee and Shirley Bishop; a brother, Fred Bishop; sister In-law, Cathy Bishop; father and mother in-law, Richard and Tannis Hillegass; sister-in- law, Melissa Hillegass and fiance, Gary Bruck; seven nieces and nephews; Goddaughter, Rachael Ashton; and Tracy Gue, best friend of 30 years. She is also survived by many more beloved family and friends.

A former 1985 Courtland High School graduate, Stephanie continued her education at Mary Washinton College and graduated with a degree in Psychology. She was a member and Associate Pastor at Covenant Community Christian Fellowship in Locust Grove, Virginia. She and her two sons were and are very active with 4H.

A visitation was held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Johnson Funeral Home, Locust Grove.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 23, 2012, at Chancellor Baptist Church in Spotsylvania. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Orange County 4H, Chancellor Baptist Church, or Covenant Community Christian Fellowship.
