I met Stephanie in 2001. She was an amazing person! She was gentle, passive and had one of the most generous spirits I have ever encountered. I lived with Stephanie at her building in Starbuck, Mn during a crucial time in my life when I needed a place to be. Stephanie turned out to be family to me when I needed it most. I will never forget her and when I look back at the fond memories of her I'm reminded of how much I miss her. She was taken too soon!

Stephanie Renee was a good friend way back when. We lost touch over the years but her generosity of spirit and her warm soul are the core of my good memories of her.

The 8 years I have spent working for the railroad I have realized that we spend a great portion of our time with our coworkers (sometimes more than with our own family or friends) Stephanie Renee Smith never judged anyone and always treated everyone with a lot of respect. She never hesitated to help a fellow railroader: if it was from simple advice or a few dollars to get someone to next their next paycheck. Rest in Peace My Fellow Railroader.

Stephanie was passionate about many things and many people. She made me laugh and made me sigh. She called things as she saw them. She will be missed. Linda, North Minneapolis

Her enthusiam for things was contagious. I spoke to her just two weeks ago and looked at the diving phots and the chair. A life shortened too soon.

Stephanie was my cousin. My brother and I spent many weeks during many summers playing and adventuring together as children. I will always treasure those times with her and my uncle and aunt, Lorna and Harold.

Stephanie Renee was my friend, she loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved Dance, she loved to create, she was an outspoken represenative of political events. When a idea hit her she would go for it, she really wanted to help others.
I guess the 11:00 PM calls for someone to have supper with are over, I wish they were not, and the calls when she would hit town at 2 AM.
She was a one of a kind, a very wonderful person, she always lead with a smile.

I have known Renee for quite some time. I work for the same company she did and at one time I was one of the crew dispatchers calling her at all hours waking her up to go to work. She was always pleasant and a very good worker. She will be missed by all in CMC.
