Beloved Son, Brother, Father, Husband, Uncle, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Storyteller. Bert Davidoff passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 15, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with dementia.

His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he took every opportunity to share stories, laughter and egg creams with them- a Brooklyn treat he cherished and passed down as a small but sweet family tradition. Bert is survived by his loving wife Judy, his sister Adrienne, his children, Stacy, Elaine and her husband Ira, Scott and his wife Jamie, Heather and her partner Emre and Bonnie; his grandchildren David and his Wife Rachel and his Great -Grandson Arthur, Aaron and his fiance, Danielle, Jared and his girlfriend Cara, Gavin, Duncan and Elliott.

His Legacy of warmth and wit and storytelling will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His presence will be missed, but his spirit will remain with all who had known him. Prior to being "Dad" and "Grandpa", Bert was known fondly in Canarsie Brooklyn NY as "Bert the Animal" Not for his disposition , he was the most compassionate owner of the original Canarsie Animal Hospital and he always made sure animals were seen and cared for at this establishment, regardless of the caregivers financial status. Yet he was not just all work, Bert loved the water and shared this love with his children, with his boats, fishing and even his swimming lessons. As Dad and Grandpa , Bert loved to build special treats for all in his unique "woodshop" that he spent his time in even up until his later years.

Cheers to Dad - drink an Eggcream in his honor "Live and Be Well"
