Stephanie Wilson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 25, 2025.
With hearts full of both sorrow and gratitude, we share the passing of our beloved Stephanie, who left this world peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, surrounded by her family.

Stephanie was an angel among us - gracing the world with a spirit so pure, joyful, and full of light that she touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Though she lived with profound disabilities, Stephanie taught us the most powerful lessons in love - love without words, love through presence, love through her radiant smile. Her courage was beyond anything we can describe, often astonishing medical experts and inspiring everyone around her with her unwavering strength and resilience.

To know Stephanie was to witness a kind of magic. She was a gift unlike any other - shaping and elevating our family in ways we could never fully explain. She didn't speak, but her eyes, her laughter, and her smile spoke volumes. She was, and will always be, our hero.

Stephanie's light lives on through all of us, and especially in the hearts of those who saw their own joy reflected in hers. We are deeply grateful that she was able to experience a true union of love with the love of her life, Michael, on May 18, 2019. Their bond filled every heart in the room and many tears of joy were shared on their special day. Michael will forever be part of our family, and together we are honoring Stephanie's spirit and legacy by sharing a smile with someone today, and everyday.

We will gather to smile together in her honor at a Celebration of Life on Thursday, August 14 at 5:00 PM at the Windom Community Center in Windom, Minnesota with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, please consider sharing a story, smile, or simple act of kindness in Stephanie's memory. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be directed to her parents who will be gifting a memorial that will serve both staff & residents at her home.

Stephanie is survived by her parents Alistair and Jean Wilson, partner Micheal King, sister Mairi Wilson, brothers Andrew (Callen) and Colin Wilson, niece Quinn Wilson, Grandmother Rose Goldman, Aunts & Uncles Ruth & Brian Harris, Carol Wilson, Carin Rezac, Robin & Mark Beckman, Laurie & Warren Goldman, Matt & Jenna Goldman, Jason Goldman & Eric Goldman, as well as many cousins, and the many friends and staff at Home for Creative Living and the DAC where Stephanie worked. She is preceded in death by her Grandparents, Paul Goldman, Alexander & Patricia Wilson, Aunt Sally Davis, Uncles Jeremy Goldman & Blair Wilson.
