When Karla walked into the room & tenderly touched his face & rubbed the top of his head as we were admiring his recent haircut, Steve responded with the biggest most beautiful smile! I thought to myself, "This is love."

Steve was part of a group of 90s dads in Alaska who I idolized. I will never forget him, nor his example of humanity. Karla and Brittney, I´m so sorry for your magnificent loss - I recognize it must have been incredibly arduous and painful. I hope there´s peace and rest coming your way. He ran a great race. He was a wonderful man. We will speak his name.

Steve had quite a sense of humor! Which really came through the last few years. The last few years were his most difficult but humor was his best medicine ~ Karla kept him laughing through his most difficult days.... Because of Steve I now like Perry Mason show! Lol
Steve you ran your race well! Now enjoy the crown that has been laid up
For you :) see you in Eternity!

Steven was a blessing to everyone he came in contact with. His faith shined through even the darkest days. He fought the good fight and has gone home to the Lord. It has been an honor to call him friend. Rest in peace.
