I first started seeing Dr Burns at Plesant Hill Chiorpractic. I moved to Banff to work, and whenever home for a visit, made an appt. He always listened to what I had to say, and was genuinely interested. (often remembering things I had forgotten I had told him even!) My Brothers, Sisters and Parents were also his patients. He will always be remembered in our family with deep admiration, gratitude, kindness and humor. He touched us all and I feel honored to have had my life cross his.
Terri...I am so overwhelmed by your loss.I wish you comfort, I wish you peace,he will be a part of you forever.

An old freind, who I've often wondered about. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I worked with Steve in London at "Frye's". Many a laughter filled shift playing hangman. He was awesome with words and inspired me back 35 years ago to eat well, and take care of myself. Godspeed to a wonderful soul. With great respect, Gail (Deadman) Kennedy

I am very saddened to hear of Steve's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Terri and Steve at their private practice. Steve was truly one of the funniest and talented people I've ever known. We both shared a love of music, and when our breaks aligned, we'd play our guitars together in Steve's office. He always had some new great rif to teach me!
What a very sad loss for his family and friends.
My sincere condolences to you Terri.

Steve was a one-of-a-kind, to say the least. A really great man. I admired how he could be so humorous and professional at the same time. He and his yellow suit will always give me a chuckle!

Dr. Burns was my chiropractor during my university years when my shoulders would ache from carrying my text books and riding the bus everyday. He was so much fun to 'visit' at the Pleasand Hill clinic. A few years later, I drove my mom to her appointment but waited in the car with my first newborn baby. At the end of her appointment, Dr. Burns walked my mom out to the parking lot to come and meet my little girl. What busy doctor does that?? It took only a few moments to make a new mom even more proud than I already was, and it is the kind of action that speaks volumes of man's character. May God's peace, which surpasses our human understanding, surround your family each day.

I was very saddened to hear of Steve's passing. He was one of my classmates in the Class of 1987 and he was one of the funniest and most involved people in the class. We are going to be having our 25th year class reunion in June, and although it will be nice to see everyone again, I know that Steve's presence will definitely be missed along with others who we have lost during the years. Rest in peace, Steve.

I had the pleasure of living with Steve my firstYear at chiropractic college and considered him a friend throughout. Steve was a lot of fun which helped us manage the stress of those early days. Being older he was almost the father figure of the house. Steve was just a big fun likable guy and I was very sad to hear of his passing.

Such a sudden loss is so very difficult and can never be understood. I would venture to say that it is not for us to understand - only to realize that our soul's path is often a mystery. In this very difficult time , I hope that you ( Steve's family) might feel the blessing and grace of peace around you to help you through the days ahead. We all ( class of '87) loved Steve and have fond memories of how he shared his light and laughter with us. Terri, although we haven't met , I wish you strength and courage and know that you are in our thoughts.
