Dad, ill always miss you. You were the greatest dad when you were down here! And you'll still be when I come up with you. When I was little, he'd play with me. He would play hide and seek with me, and couldn't find me for a long time! I will always love him.. forever!

I spent many days underway onboard the USS Independence. I listen to your stories of Alabama and you were an outstanding person. I always tried looking for you after we both left the INDY. You will always be in my heart thoughts and prayers. Represent the HT's in heaven. God bless you Shipmate

My friend Steve cavitt
Best dc central desk supervisor I ever had serving aboard the uss independence cv62. I remember the day you taught me how to sweat pipe and weld on bulkheads, I remember all the great times we had on liberty together. I'm sorry we didn't get to drive up the pacific coast highway together before god accepted you into the heavens. Your wisdom and friendship will be missed my boy! Fair winds and calming seas shipmate!
